We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a 20-bed Medical-Surgical Unit caring for adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients. The ideal candidate will have strong Med-Surg nursing experience, pediatric care experience, and the ability to confidently provide care across both age groups.

The unit offers favorable nurse-to-patient ratios, typically 4:1 for non-COVID patients and 2:1 for COVID patients, with maximum ratios of 5:1 and 3:1, respectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care to adult, geriatric, and pediatric patients.
• Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in clinical status.
• Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders and facility protocols.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans.
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Maintain infection prevention, patient safety, and quality-of-care standards.
• Assist with flu immunization clinics when needed.
• Float to other departments when qualified, providing patient care or task-oriented support as assigned.
• Attend required staff meetings and participate in unit activities.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Med-Surg nursing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience.
• Demonstrated ability to care for both adult and pediatric patients.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Appropriate RN licensure for the assignment.
• Flexibility to work 12-hour day shifts, with other shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Willingness to float within areas of demonstrated competency.
