Description

Job Summary (List Format):

- Location: Local candidates preferred; must accept same rate.
- Contract Length: 13 or 26 weeks available.
- Holiday Requirement: Only 1 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year’s/Eve) required to work; can request up to 2 major holidays off.
- Work Environment: Beautiful campus, supportive team, strong camaraderie, staff activities (book clubs, group dinners).
- Eligibility: Perm staff from Providence facilities (excluding Swedish) eligible if separated for at least 3 months.
- Licensure: Active compact nursing license honored by all Swedish facilities.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience required; first-time travelers accepted.
- EMR System: Epic experience required.
- Certifications Required:
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- FHM (Fetal Heart Monitoring)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- AWHONN Intermediate
- ACLS (preferred)
- Patient Population:
- Labor/preterm labor
- Low risk antepartum, Low risk labor & delivery
- OB-GYN, post-op, pre-op
- Circulate, scrub, couplet care, transition nursery
- Unit Details: 8 labor rooms, 4 triage rooms
- Special Procedures:
- Blood/blood products administration
- Cardioversion/defibrillation
- Cooling/warming blanket use
- Management of drains, epidural pumps, PCA/syringe pumps, wound vac
- Medication administration: heparin, insulin, magnesium sulfate
- Special Equipment:
- Attendance at all deliveries, including high risk
- GYN surgeries
- Staffing Ratio: 1:1–3
- Float Requirement: May float to post-partum and possibly L&D at Swedish First Hill

Med Ninjas Job ID #21026. Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
