I was promised PTO by my recruiter after a death in the family and they never paid it. Twice. My recruiter ended up ignoring me for weeks and I had to call the office to be told how to access my pay stub.

Paid out bonuses when asked due to constant errors on their end with payroll.

My paychecks were almost ALWAYS incorrect. The onboarding process was absolutely awful! They misled me on the contract which was supposed to be 36 hours a week. The facility scheduled 6 shifts within a 14 day time block and more often than not I was working 5-6 of my shifts all in one week. So basically mandated overtime. Then found out their overtime rate was half of what every other agency at this same facility was paying and the weekly rate itself was about $500 less than other agencies. My recruiter was terrible and dismissive. Even the manager couldn’t be bothered to return my calls when my check was wrong. They would compensate me with “missed pay“ so I couldn’t see my holiday rate or overtime rate. Stay far away from Amergis. There’s a reason why Maxim changed their name!!
