No pros when working for this company

Cancels last minute, refuses to pay the time & trouble when they cancel you less than two hours before your shift. The final straw was when I risked my life driving in an ice storm for them to call less than five minutes before my shift was to start & they wouldn’t pay me for the time & travel. I had 8 shifts booked one week and every single shift canceled last minute & no compensation. I decided to pick up a new agency & would essentially double book myself, because 9/10 favorite would cancel. On one particular night, my shift didn’t get canceled & I was booked elsewhere with the other agency. I notified favorite well in advance (early am) & they tried to bully me into working the shift through their company & I refused, because it was less money & due to the frequent last minute cancellations. Since I wouldn’t give into their bullying tactics, they restricted my account so I couldn’t pick up shifts through their app. Normally, I wouldn’t cancel a shift & in fact I never cancel my shifts, but I had to make a little money that week & due to every shift I booked through them was cancelled & I explained that in order for me to continue, I had to make at least gas money. They didn’t care & refused to compensate me for all those hours I wasted driving to & from facilities that cancelled last minute. They refused to enforce the rules when it came to the facilities, but expected the nurses & CNA’s to follow them, regardless of the situation or circumstances. Unless you want to go broke, I would highly recommend avoiding Favorite Healthcare Staffing.
