This is a bit long, but Michael Corona is well worth the read. I have been working with Michael for about 7 months now. From day 1 he has been outstanding! I feel confident that he's always got my back and has my best interests in mind. I feel like he's always working for me, even though I'm sure he has many, many other travelers he's caring for. He communicates well. He is clear and tells it like it is in a great way. Great guy, best recruiter I've worked with. The man even responds on weekends. One particular instance that stood out was when the facility I was contracted with reduced the pay for my extension by a significant amount. The way they went about this was very underhanded. 6 weeks before my first contract was set to expire, regional management told the manager of my department she had approval to extend my contract. Despite repeated and tireless efforts by Michael, the upper management of the facility did not come back with an offer until 2 days after my contract expired. This was a Monday, I was scheduled to work Tuesday. The offer was terrible. My fiance already signed a contract for extension at her facility and we already extended our lease. I was backed into a corner. Michael was mad for me. He also understood any decision I wanted or needed to make. He had my back. I accepted the incredibly low ball contract, but Michael was always checking in to see how I was doing. He listened to me vent. He gave me the confidence that it was going to get better. Well it did. A couple weeks into the contract, my facility posted another contract for a significant amount more than they offered me for the same position. I immediately texted Michael about it. Here is the crux of the whole story. This is the kind of recruiter Michael is: it turns out, Michael had already seen this higher contract amount, already had me in the works to get that pay, and wanted to surprise me with it! I just happened to look and messaged him before he could get the new contract worked up and surprise me. He was truly looking out for me, and constantly! This solidified it for me. I'm sure there are other great recruiters out there, but none quite like Michael. This guy is the real deal and takes care of his travelers. If you hear about Host, you've got to hear about Michael Corona. Ask for him!

I accepted my first travel contract through Host Healthcare. My recruiter, Ricky Campos, has been honest and helpful throughout the whole process. He is always quick to respond and has been supportive through the small bumps in my contract. I have had the opportunity to speak with Host's clinical team and they also were attentive. I feel like this is a company that truly supports its nurses, and I would use them for my future contracts.
