Teacher of the Visually ImpairedPrimary Purpose: Provide specialized instruction and support so students who are blind or visually impaired can access education and become as independent as possible.Position Details:<ul><li>Location: Moncks Corner, SC</li><li>Pay: Starting at $40</li><li>Hours: May vary based on location</li><li>Schedule: May vary based on location</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.</li><li>Initial or Professional certificate from South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE); VI Endorsement by meeting required components and completing required coursework as indicated by the SCDE</li><li>Minimum 1yr experience as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired.</li></ul>Skills &amp; Experience:<ul><li>Knowledge of the policies, procedures and activities of the school district which pertain to the specific duties and responsibilities of the position.</li><li>Knowledge in the methods for developing lesson plans and materials, and classroom activities which stimulate learning.
