A passing scaled score of 75 is based on the number of correct answers you give, ranked by ARRT’s scaled scoring model.

The annual renewal deadline is always the last day of your birth month and can be completed online.

Starting in January 2026, ARRT will set a standard renewal fee of $65, which applies regardless of the number of credentials held.
Continuing Education
Maintaining Breast Sonography RTs certification requires 24 hours of continuing education (CE) every 2 years. Report CE activities every 2 years by the last day of the month prior to your birth month every other year as part of the annual renewal process. Your CE deadline and annual renewal deadline are different dates.
