Exam Format

The computer-based exam is taken online via automated proctoring at the time of your choice.

Certification Process

After taking the CBIS examination, candidates will be notified of their exam score and proctoring report via email within 5 to 7 business days. To view the score, candidates should access the test report in their individual ACBIS portal. A score of 80% or greater is required to pass the exam.

CBIS certification requires annual renewal for a fee of $70.

Renewal involves completing 10 continuing education units in brain injury, which can be obtained through various professional development opportunities, conferences, and training programs.
