The CCRP certification, offered by the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA), is designed for professionals involved in clinical research. This certification demonstrates a high level of knowledge, experience, and understanding of clinical research conduct, regulations, and management.

Eligibility and Certification Requirements
A minimum of two years of work experience in clinical research. This experience should involve the design, conduct, data collection, and management or administration of clinical research.
Alternatively, candidates can have a combination of work experience and education in clinical research.
Agreement to adhere to SOCRA's Code of Ethics.
Passing the CCRP certification examination.
Cost
Exam Fee: For SOCRA-sponsored exam sites, $395 for members and $450 for non-members (includes complimentary SOCRA membership upon successful completion of the exam). For computer-based testing centers, the exam fee plus an additional $115 fee.

Exam Format
The CCRP exam is offered in person as a written exam at SOCRA-sponsored sites and as a computer-based exam at Prometric testing centers or through Remote Live Proctoring (RLP).
The examination includes 130 multiple-choice questions (30 unscored) covering topics such as clinical trial design and management, regulatory compliance, ethical issues, data management, and GCP.
For in-person written exams, score reports are mailed to you 4-6 weeks after the exam. For computer-based in-person or online RLP exams, score reports are received immediately upon completion of exam.

To obtain the CCRP certification, you need to pass an examination that is evaluated by a panel of experts. There is no penalty for incorrect answers.
Renewal
CCRP certification requires renewal every three years.
Renewal involves completing a minimum number of continuing education credits in clinical research and submitting a renewal application with the associated fee.
Maintain your certification by earning 45 credits of continuing education during your certification period.
Continuing Education
