Tampa General Hospital

Tampa General Hospital (TGH) is a private, not-for-profit healthcare institution and primary teaching hospital for the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine. TGH is the region’s only Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Burn Care Center. HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital, formerly Memorial Hospital of Tampa, has 180-plus beds and is an acute care hospital. 8. HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital

HCA Florida West Tampa Hospital, formerly Tampa Community Hospital, is a standalone emergency department and behavioral health center tied to HCA Florida South Tampa Hospital. The short-term, private facility has been providing advanced care to the community for nearly 50 years and offers convenient access to the same level of emergency care found at its main campus. Its board-certified emergency doctors, nurses and paramedics receive training to handle any medical crisis and work as a team to ensure the highest quality of care.

West Tampa Hospital provides 24/7 emergency services with advanced patient monitoring equipment and comfortable treatment rooms, including dedicated pediatric treatment rooms. The emergency department features a private patient triage area and seven fast-track rooms for patients with less severe injuries and illnesses.

James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital is a military hospital with 415 beds and is part of the VA Sunshine Healthcare Network. Its main campus provides primary and specialty healthcare services, including podiatry, cardiology, dentistry, audiology, geriatric care, ophthalmology, endocrinology and mental health care.
