The NSNA invites all student nurses to attend its annual conventions. The 2024 convention’s topic, “Elevate: Dreams Help Make the Impossible Possible,” primarily focuses on exploring various nursing specialties and strengthening skill sets. Attendees also have the opportunity to learn new skills and test-taking strategies across multiple education sessions, including a live NCLEX-RN Review. American Association for Men in Nursing (AAMN) 49th Annual Conference

Academy of Neonatal Nursing (ANN) National Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurses Conference

After the conference, attendees and nurses who weren’t unable to attend can access videos of many speakers’ presentations and workshops by paying an on-demand content fee.

The Annual Dialysis Conference, presented by Karl Nolph, MD, Division of Nephrology, spans three days, bringing together physicians, fellows, nurses, dietitians and social workers. Although not specifically a nursing conference, this is a great conference to attend if you’re a dialysis nurse. The conference focuses on adult and pediatric populations, discussing the latest advancements and research in chronic kidney disease and renal replacement therapies. Nurses attending the live event qualify for up to 21.5 ANCC nursing contact hours for continuing nursing education.

American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN) 49th Annual Conference

It’s the largest conference for NPs within all specialties, with over 330 workshops and sessions demonstrating the diversity of the NP role. A virtual option is also available.

Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses (AMSN) 33rd Annual Convention

The annual AMSN convention draws medical-surgical nurses from across the country and provides numerous networking and educational opportunities. This event has a hybrid format that allows nurses to attend in person or participate in many sessions and watch key speakers virtually. Because this year’s conference takes place in Canada, those attending in person must have a valid passport to cross the border. The organization hasn’t announced specific details about the theme and lineup yet.

American Psychiatric Nurses Association (APNA) 38th Annual Conference

The annual APNA conference is the premier event for psychiatric-mental health nurses who can register to attend in person and virtually. Up to 115 contact hours for certification and renewal will be available for participants, which they can use for licensure or certification renewal. The year’s theme is “Bringing Connection to Life for Ourselves, Those We Serve & Each Other,” but details about the specific program and lineup of speakers are still to come.
