Surgery Director Full-time

Larkin Community Hospital a 146 bed acute-care hospital is looking for an Operating Room Services Director to oversee the daily operations of the surgery Department. As the Director of the OR you will lead the perioperative team by focusing on safe patient care while effectively managing operations. * Provide leadership to designated patient care and service areas, including oversight of staff, budget and quality issues. * Analyze service trends and develop department objectives for each specific surgery area. * Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the organization. * Assists perioperative personnel in evaluating practice and creating strategies for further improvement. * Coordinates, facilitates, and manages change within perioperative services and the health care institution. * Demonstrates effective communication, consultation, negotiation, and collaboration skills with members of the perioperative team. * Collects and analyzes data related to quality or performance improvement projects that apply to perioperative services. * Uses effective conflict resolution techniques. * Evaluates perioperative personnel performance. * Verifies departmental compliance with organizational policies and procedures and regulatory and accreditation standards. * Provides guidance, support, and constructive feedback to perioperative personnel team members and other team members as appropriate. * Exhibits professional, interpersonal, and communication skills. * Acts as a patient advocate and maintains privacy and confidentiality of all appropriate information. Types of Surgeries performed: Neurology Orthopedics Ophthalmology General Surgery Plastic Surgery Skills/Experience: Active Florida RN License/BLS/ACLS/CPI required Bachelor's Degree in Nursing a must, Master's Degree in Nursing preferred 3 years OR Experience 2 years leadership experience Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
