RN Nurse Part Time

As a Registered Nurse with The Menta Group, you will oversee the health and well-being of students, act as a resource for health education and maintain student records and data for compliance purposes. Needed Part-Time: 20 hours per week Responsibilities * Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services. * Obtain and review consents for medication administration in school. * Document each instance for medication administration. * Train designated staff on medication administration and documentation of medication administration * Maintain security of school health supplies. * Instruct students in health education. * Correspond with parents and medical providers on the health needs of students. * Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data. * Maintain accurate related service logs updated weekly. * Coordinate and communicate with administrative staff, teachers, and other related service staff as needed or IEP directed. * Develop Individual Health Care plans for students with allergies. Qualifications * Current/Active Registered Nurse * Considerable knowledge of medical and mental health disorders and subsequent treatment. * Considerable knowledge of child growth and development. * Working knowledge of public health problems and procedures for treatment in coordination with other health and social service agencies. * Working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations affecting the delivery of school health services. * Some knowledge of the school organization and the community served. * Capacity to coordinate and facilitate services between the school, local health agency, and other community resources.
