Substitute School Nurses

The Easton, Redding and Region 9 School Districts are accepting applications for substitute school nurses. Salary: Salary varies depending on district. No benefits. Duties: * Provide nursing services to students and the school community as needed * Administer medications as required by doctor's order * Monitor student health plans * Collaborate with school personnel and parents * Provide emergency treatment as needed to staff and students Requirements: * State of Connecticut Registered Nurse License * First Aid and CPR certification * Ability to function autonomously within guidelines * Strong assessment skills, good communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse population * Familiarity and comfort with computer programs * Previous school nursing/substitute nursing experience preferred * Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred Applications will only be accepted online at the Central Office Web site: www.er9.org under the "Employment Opportunities" link.
