Director Operating Room - Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital

Responsibilities The Northwest Hills Surgical Hospital is looking for an Operating Room Director. This position plans, coordinates and directs operating room activities within the facility. The position assists the CNO in developing strategic plans, and goals for the OR. The position provides leadership and authority in surgical area of the hospital. The position ensures standards of patient care in surgical areas are met. * Develops and maintains systems that sustain zero harm to patients. * Assesses plans, evaluates, and ensures all Operating Room processes are implemented to ensure safe patient care. * Demonstrates knowledge of hospital functions, activities, and interactions related to physicians, patients, and teammates. * Ability to coordinate all operating room activities including scheduling and prioritizing. * Possess knowledge of equipment needed and talent necessary to perform all scheduled cases in the OR. * Maintains current knowledge on advances or conditions affecting hospital services. * Demonstrates knowledge of personnel administration * Understands, complies with, supports, explains and enforces hospital and ASC policies and procedures * Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. * Ability to relate to people, patients, hospital employees and assist in their professional and personal development. * Ability to provide direction to others that is clear, concise and promotes efficiency throughout the OR area. * Ability to recognize talent and skill, hire, and train teammates. * Works with critical departments including scheduling and materials management to ensure smooth running of area. * Ability to develop positive relationships with physicians, vendors, teammates, and others. * Evaluate performance and behavior. Addresses concerns as needed. Qualifications Education, Vocational Training and Experience * Bachelors of Nursing Required Experience * 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. * People Leadership experience. * Proven track record of growth and development in ASC's and/or hospitals. * Good written and verbal communication skills. * Organized and able to meet multiple deadlines; self-motivated; ability to organize and handle details. Certifications * Registered Nurse in the practicing state; CPR Certification USD $105,000.00/Yr. USD $115,000.00/Yr.
