Details

  • Department: Ground Transport
  • Schedule: Full Time, 36 hrs, Rotating Shift, 7A-7P or 7P-7A, Mostly Nights but could be some Days based on Need, and Rotating Weekends and Holidays

Responsibilities

Provide high quality patient care in conjunction with fellow team members during transport between
facilities.

 

  • Perform assessment and stabilization of patients as well as any necessary diagnostic and therapeutic interventions.
  • Assure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards; making or recommending necessary
    adjustments by collaborating with team members and multidisciplinary members.
  • Participate in decision-making and partners with the multidisciplinary team to enhance operational
    efficiency.
  • Complete all appropriate medical documentation.
  • May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Kansas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) Certification obtained within six months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Certification specializing in ER Vehicle Operation preferred.
  • Drivers License preferred.
  • Emergency Medical Tech credentialed from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) preferred.
  • Paramedic preferred.
  • Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Spprt preferred.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of
    hire.

Additional Preferences

 

2 years ICU and/or ED experience

EMS background as paramedic preferred.

 

Transport within AVC locations - Operating motor vehicle not required
