Responsibilities Nurse Practitioner The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner (NP) is responsible for overseeing the in-patients assigned of Garnet Health. Hospitalist NPs are responsible for providing direct patient clinical care and managing medical problems of acutely ill, hospitalized, adult patients. The Hospitalist NP is a part of the interdisciplinary team to improve efficiency and facilitate continuum of care for patients from admission to discharge. This continuum of care includes general adult medicine, internal medicine consults as requested, and management of patients with various comorbidities. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. The Hospitalist NP will carry out assigned duties displaying the highest standards of ethical and moral conducts as well as acting in the best interest of the Garnet Health, supporting our mission, vision and values to optimize the health and well-being of our patients. The position is responsible for the clinical excellence of In Patient care services and for assisting in the development of programs aimed at meeting quality measures and population health management requirements. Physician Assistant The Hospitalist Physician Assistant (PA) is responsible for overseeing the in-patients assigned of Garnet Health. Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range for the role is $ 118,236 - 129,960 annually. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member's compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity) Qualifications Nurse Practitioner Minimum Education: Master's or doctorate degree in a nurse practitioner specialty area Minimum Experience: 2 (two) years of experience in a hospital setting preferred Required Certification/Registration: Certified by the New York State Education Department ("SED") as a "Nurse Practitioner" or "NP" SED nurse practitioner certifications in one of the following specialty areas: Acute Care, Adult Health; Family Health; Gerontology is preferred Active and Unrestricted D.E.A. Certificate ACLS and BLS certifications Physical Requirements: Stands, walks, sits intermittently throughout the day. Lifts, pushes, pulls light to heavy weights as required. Working Conditions: In-patient Hospital Service of Garnet Health. Position will primarily be light work requiring lifting up to 25 pounds with occasional lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Occasional bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling and reaching are required. Physician Assistant Minimum Education: Master's or doctorate degree in a Physician Assistant specialty area Minimum Experience: 2 (two) years of experience in a hospital setting preferred Required Certification/Registration: Certified by New York State Education Department ("SED") as a " Physician Assistant" or "PA" Physician Assistant certifications from NCCPA Active and Unrestricted D.E.A.
