Med Surg RN General Surgery Full Time Nights


Responsibilities

Join a high-acuity General Surgery / Med-Surg team at a leading Washington, DC hospital. This full-time day shift role offers the opportunity to care for complex surgical patients, develop advanced clinical skills, and grow within a supportive, team-driven environment known for strong leadership and collaborative care.

Unit Overview

  • 39-bed General Surgery / Med-Surg unit
  • Bariatric Center of Excellence designation
  • High-acuity patient population, including:
    • Laparoscopic & minimally invasive procedures
    • Bariatric surgery
    • Tracheostomies
    • Kidney & liver transplants
    • Trauma and complex surgical cases

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
  • BLS
  • Current state nursing license.
  • Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
  • Requirements specified for specialty unit
