MedStar Union Memorial Hospital Critical Care Float Pool Highlights

 

• Float to ICU and ICU Stepdown units primarily and other critical care units. 
• Pay based on working experience as a nurse plus hourly float pool differential, night differential (X 12 hours), weekend differential, hourly charge/preceptor pay.

Schedule

• Three 12-hour shifts & every other weekend (6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks)
• 3 designated holiday/year 
• 2 Hard-to-fill shifts/year

 

Key Responsibilities

 

As a Clinical Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care to patients and families across a spectrum of needs—from routine to highly complex. You will assess evolving patient conditions, identify actual and potential health concerns, and develop appropriate care plans. Interventions may be delivered directly or coordinated through collaboration with other members of the nursing team

 

Qualifications

 

• ADN, BSN, MSN, or CNL from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• 2+ years of RN experience required; at least 2+ years of ICU RN experience strongly preferred.
• Active MD RN License or Active Compact State RN and Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers required (AHA or American Red Cross). ACLS & NIHSS highly preferred.

This position has a hiring range of : USD $41.96 - USD $59.91 /Hr.
