Our dedicated and skilled treatment team provides patients and their families with the highest quality of personalized care at our facility, set on historic, park-like grounds designed by Frederick Law Ohlmsted. Programs are offered for children, adolescents and adults struggling with a wide range of behavioral health issues.

Job Summary

Under the general direction of nursing leadership and with provider collaboration and guidance, the Registered Nurse utilizes evidence-based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act and policies and procedures of Hartford Healthcare Hospital Outpatient Departments (HODs) and Medical Group, in a variety of clinical settings. This position facilitates care for a varied population of patients, which includes nursing standards of practice to meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.

  • Provides nursing within a non-acute setting in collaboration with inter-disciplinary teams and provides according to physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and educational needs of the patient and family.

  • Coordinates and provides holistic patient centered care.

  • Utilizes evidence-based practice in accordance with the department and/or medical group policies and procedures to ensure safe quality care and customer service.

  • Incorporates the four components of the Professional Practice Model of Nursing into their daily practice: Excel, Empower, Advocate and Engage.

  • Demonstrates and actively supports research utilization through inquiring about evidence-based practices.

  • Evaluates and reviews the plan of care working with the interdisciplinary team to meet the diverse needs of the patient and family.

  • Identifies and reliably documents problems and expected outcomes based on a plan of care for a varied population of patients.

  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient information.

  • Support two clinical therapeutic groups daily.

  • Facilitate activity group daily.


Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing.

  • Successful completion of nurse residency, if applicable.

  • One year of experience with a minimum of 1000 hours of clinical experience as a licensed RN, 5 years preferred.

  • Registered Nurse, State of CT.

  • Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA).

  • Additional certifications in specific specialties are preferred and may be required.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate information in English.
