Nurse Practitioner / Assistant Director of Nursing


The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner / Assistant Director of Nursing. The successful candidate will: * Work under the supervision of the Urogynecologist in the provision of clinical patient care services as it relates to the collection of data and diagnostic as well as therapeutic procedures. * Assess, diagnose and provide care at University Hospital of Brooklyn (UHB) and its offsite community facilities on a scheduled basis. * Perform evaluations and identify patient problems. * Perform history and physical examinations of the patient. * Write prescriptions, orders and interpret laboratory data and radiological tests. * Monitor patient status and responses to treatment. * Document findings in the patient medical records. * Provide education and counseling for patient. Required Qualifications: * New York State Nurse Practitioner Licensure. * 5+ years of Nurse Practitioner experience. Preferred Qualifications: Work Schedule: Monday to Friday; 8:00am to 4:00pm Salary Grade/Rank: SL-5 Salary Range: Commensurate with experience and qualifications COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement: An approved COVID-19 vaccination.
