Pre-Op/Stepdown RN Registered Nurse
JOB TITLE: Pre-op/ Stepdown Nurse
GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Assists in provision of nursing care to patients in an Ambulatory Surgical Center setting. Assumes total responsibility for patient care in accordance with physician's orders and centers policies. To act as patient advocate, providing continuity of care designed to meet individual patient needs through collaboration with other members of the healthcare team. Supports the philosophy, objectives and goals. The Nurse will assess the perioperative needs of individual patients including but not limited to adult, pediatric, neonatal and adolescent patients and geriatric patients.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing; current state RN License.
- CPR required.
- PALS required.
- Minimum one year in pre-operative, intra-operative and post-operative surgical patient care
