Learn more at focalpointchicago.org. Position Purpose: Performs all Diagnostic Imaging procedures including routine, portable, fluoroscopic and c-arm studies. Will write pertinent patient information of the Imaging Requisition as to reason for examination. Essential Functions: Performs all medical imaging studies, both within the department and portable exams. Solicit pertinent information i.e.. possibility of pregnancy from females of childbearing years, according to policy. Documents necessary information from interviewing and following all studies ensuring dates and patient education following studies is charted directly on the appropriate forms. Checks equipment and supplies on a regular basis. Reports any equipment malfunctions to supervisor upon realizing a problem exists. Will contact 3rd party vendor independently if supervisor is not available. Requests and orders additional supplies through supervisor when it is noticed stock levels need to be replenished. Will restock supplies used from a previous study. Transports patients as needed or requested. General Job requirements: Successful completion of a 2 year school in radiologic technology Ability to interact with patients and family members Experience with other modalities preferred Licensed by IDNS required Current CPR certification required ARRT Certification preferred Saint Anthony Hospital Highlights: Saint Anthony Hospital is an independent, nonprofit, faith-based, acute care, community hospital dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the families on the West Side and Southwest Side of Chicago.
