Registered Nurse - 2nd Shift - Murdoch

The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional nursing care.  This RN provides evaluation, assessment, and assures coordination and implementation of care delivery.  This RN acts as charge nurse when assigned, provides clinical services and consultation including medication and treatment administration, MD/Professional contacts, & care planning for health needs.   Work Schedule: 2nd shift, 2:30pm - 11:00pm, 5 days/week, with rotating weekends.  Schedule adjustments as needed/requested. Murdoch has approximately 1600 employees providing residential services and supports to people with IDD, complex behavioral challenges and/or medical conditions whose clinical treatment needs exceed the level of care available in the community.  In addition to regional admissions for adults, MDC operates four statewide programs, which include support for children and adolescents with complex needs. An employee is not eligible for a sign-on bonus if: (1) the employee has held a position in North Carolina State government, including the judicial system, or the University of North Carolina system within the last 12 months (the employee shall remain ineligible for 12 months from the separation date); (2) the employee has previously received a sign-on bonus from any State agency; (3) or DHHS has paid any contract placement or recruitment fees.
