Seattle Radiology is located on a narrow strip of land between the salt waters of the Puget Sound and the fresh waters of Lake Washington, Seattle is known for its bustling waterfront, lush evergreen forests and the picturesque backdrop of the San Juan Islands. Just beyond the water are two rugged mountain ranges, the Olympics to the west and the cascades to the east. We're an Outpatient Imaging Center, located near downtown Seattle in the Nordstrom Tower. Come join a great team dedicated to quality imaging and excellent patient care. Compensation: The salary range is $39.80/hour to $62.19/hour. Salary is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, equity and employment status. The compensation listed above is based on full-time employment status, full-time is 40 hours per week. Clinical Duties Include (but not limited to): * Provides direct patient care, recognizing the nursing care needs of the patient. * Assesses and monitors patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions. * Informs and prepares patients for procedures. Makes pre-calls, chart review and documentation as appropriate. * Assists with contrast reactions or infiltrations. * Intervenes when any patient develops a problem or in emergency situations. * Assists radiologists and technologists with procedures and treatments whenever necessary including those requiring professional nursing skills. * Starts and assesses IV lines and Port-a-Cath, according to scope of practice. * Assists with patient care coordination and prep for patient appointments. * Responsible for assisting with CPR training, OSHA, Heath and Safety and new employee training. * Attends CQI meetings as assigned and helps implement any new policies or procedures. * Participates in continuing education programs. * Acts as a resource for staff regarding patient care issues, assists all modalities with patient flow. * Participates in the development and evaluation of policies and procedures in radiology as pertaining to clinical care. * Other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
