Graduate nurse residents are expected to commit to full-time employment for a at least a year, as well as actively participate in all learning opportunities that are offered. Please note that monthly start dates are available. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S): Graduate nurse with a Temporary Practice Permit or licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact by start date. BLS required prior to orientation completion. UNIT DESCRIPTION: Medical/Surgical is a 48 bed telemetry capable unit, serving adult patients with both medical and post-surgical diagnoses. We are the unit of choice for Orthopedic surgery, Urology, General Surgery, and medicine patients, with various consulting services. Our nurses are trained in cardiac rhythm analysis and certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and NIH Stroke Scale assessments. ABOUT HAMPDEN MEDICAL CENTER: Penn State Health Hampden Medical Center brings acute inpatient medical services to communities in Cumberland, Perry, and York counties.
