Job Description

The Director of Staff Development / Infection Control position requires Competencies and  providing continuing education to employees as needed. This role also overseen infection control for the community

 

Responsibilities

• Develop education programs in response to staff needs and teaches staff current accepted patient care and center practices.
• Ensure that the facility follows current CDC, OSHA, and local regulations concerning infection control or standard/universal precautions.
• Competencies for all New Staff
• covering RN shifts as needed
• scheduling
• Coordinate infection control program

Qualifications

• Must hold current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.  
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred but not required. Background/training in infection control is preferred. 
• Knowledge of, or training in, adult learning or previous training experience preferred
• Current CPR certificate desired.  
• On call 
• Covering RN shifts as needed.
