Registered Nurse - Ambulatory Float - 32 or 40 hrs


Position Summary
  • Our Pediatric Ambulatory Float pool offers a unique opportunity to expand your pediatric knowledge, caring for patients across a variety of outpatient settings. Each shift brings variety and opportunities to work with new colleagues, and to further develop and learn new skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing competent nursing care to patients and their families in a variety of outpatient settings including Otolaryngology, Adolescent, Pulmonary, Children’s Hospital Primary Care/Urgent Care, Gastroenterology and Nutrition, Neurology, and Epilepsy, to name a few.
  • Partnering with multidisciplinary staff to manage clinic patient flow and patient care needs during clinic visit.
  • Triaging and managing phone calls; coordinating care for patients.
  • Communicating with patients, families and health care providers.
  • Educating patients and families.
  • 32 or 40 hours available. Monday through Friday, 8 hours shifts, varying hours.
  • Opportunities to float to satellites: Waltham and Weymouth

Minimum Qualifications

Education:
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing

Experience:
  • 1 year of outpatient pediatric RN experience. BCH experience preferred.
  • Experience in various clinical settings preferred.

Licensure/Certifications
  • Current Massachusetts license as a Registered Nurse (RN)

Additional $8/hour incentive for all clinical hours worked.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
