Mercy Carthage is a 25-bed hospital serving the Carthage and surrounding areas. The Medical Surgical unit, also known as Med-Surg, is a specialty unit that makes up the foundation of nursing. Mercy Carthage is a 25-bed hospital serving the Carthage and surrounding areas and manages acute medical surgical patients with a wide range of diagnoses and care needs. Functionally, this unit houses and cares for patients who are preparing for or recovering from medical and surgical interventions.

Qualifications:

• Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Must have American Heart Association Healthcare Provider card or complete a course within probationary period. Must have ACLS and BLS or obtain within 90 days of hire.
