Nurse Manager- Acute Psych Units
Nurse Manager Eagleville Hospital is expanding! Currently seeking a Nurse Manager for two acute, psychiatric units (16 bed locked unit each). As a Nurse Manager you will be responsible for supervision of nursing staff, the nursing care provided, and related administrative and professional nursing activities. The Nurse Manager is available to offer direct and indirect clinical support, coordinate or intervene in medical/psychiatric emergencies, and complex clinical issues. Acts as a clinical resource and role model for nursing staff. Monitors care of patients and reports clinical information to the Chief Nursing Officer. Coordinates the admissions process as needed. Directly responsible for the discharge summary process. Eagleville Hospital is located in northern Montgomery County, Pennsylvania on a suburban campus just minutes from Valley Forge National Park and just off the Collegeville and Oaks exits of Route 422. Eagleville Hospital is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the treatment, educations, and prevention of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. The hospital serves as a regional resource for the treatment and prevention of alcohol and drug abuse, as well as a national resource for training and research for addiction and related conditions. Requirements: Candidates for the Nurse Manager position must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and hold a current and valid Pennsylvania State Nursing License (RN). Bachelors or Masters Degree preferred. Experience in psychiatric unit or facility a must. Must have ability to communicate well, both orally and written, leadership skills, ability to organize and facilitate patient care in any inpatient unit within the hospital, training in group dynamics and group therapy, physical and psychological assessment skills, and ability to work within a team structure.
