Registered Nurse (RN) - Clinical Coordinator $8,000 Sign on BONUS Shift: Third Schedule: 11:00PM to 7:00AM Hours: 32 per week Weekends Required: Yes, every other Benefits Eligible: Yes JOB SUMMARY: Provides leadership to the nursing staff to facilitate and ensure quality care. Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct patient care. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: * Ensures quality care delivery by using the nursing process. * Maintains awareness of patients' needs and communicates changes to others. * Incorporates critical thinking and establishes priorities in decisions about patient care and staffing. * Delegates responsibilities according to each person's capabilities ensuring completion of all work. * Acts as a patient and staff advocate. * In conjunction with Director/Designee, completes performance evaluations, follows up on staff achievements, and counsels and educates as required. * Practices cost control. * Keeps Director/Designee up to date on all pertinent matters. * Adjusts assignments and priorities in response to changing or increased workload. * Supports nursing policies and acts as change agent when new procedures and policies need implementation. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: * Ability to communicate effectively-both verbally and in writing * Solid knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office applications * Exceptional organization and management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment * Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and inclusive environment * Strong attention to detail and quality mindset * Outstanding customer orientation and ability to handle confidential and/or sensitive information * Eagerness to learn, collaborate, and share knowledge within the Day Kimball Med/Surg teams * Demonstrates ability to cope with and function under stress. * Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels QUALIFICATIONS: * Graduate of an accredited school of nursing is required; BS in Nursing or related health field preferred. * Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Connecticut * Three years' experience in clinical area with either Telemetry or Pediatrics preferred. Some experience in the other specialty area preferred. * One year of demonstrated effective leadership experience preferred. * Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR certification or equivalent within 3 months of hire required. * Arrhythmia course certification and/or challenge exam within one year of hire or transfer. * Hospice competency within one year of hire. * Cross training to care for pediatric patients. * Certification in specialty preferred. * Six contact hours in specialty area. * Current NVCIT (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training) certification or within 3 months of hire required.

Pay

$39.89/hour
