Location: New Hanover Regional Medical Center - Wilmington, NC
Work Schedule: Varies based on unit needs, Monday - Friday 7am - 5p. On call support required rotating every 7 - 8 weeks

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree, Nursing required.
- Experience: Two years clinical RN experience -- acute care setting.
- Licensure/certification/registration: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. Board certification in area of practice, preferred.
- Preferred Requirements: Epic Lumens software experience. Master's Degree. Two years demonstrated leadership experience, preferred. Three years clinical RN experience in an acute care setting, preferred.
- Additional skills required: Understands and applies: current and future trends/practice in area of responsibility; regulatory and governing standards, policies and procedures; information systems and software used in area of responsibility; equipment used in performing assigned duties; application of safety and infection control policies and procedures; skills in interviewing and selection process; understanding of budgeting, staffing, payroll and purchasing processes; implementation of competency, feedback, development and progressive discipline processes; teambuilding, conflict management, and interpersonal relationship skills; principles of adult learning and teaching methods/models; decision making, project leadership and consultation, delegation and communication skills; customer needs and expectations and knowledge for improvement to exceed customer expectations; principles of change management.
Oversee daily operations of the Endoscopy unit to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality care delivery
Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff; manage hiring, training, and scheduling
Develop, update, and enforce policies, procedures, and protocols for endoscopy services
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and safety guidelines
Coordinate multidisciplinary care involving physicians, technicians, and other healthcare professionals
Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and inventory of medical supplies and endoscopy equipment
Monitor patient outcomes and quality indicators; lead quality improvement and safety initiatives
Facilitate ongoing staff education, training, and professional development specific to endoscopy nursing
Address patient concerns, complaints, and promote patient satisfaction and comfort
Maintain accurate and thorough documentation and oversee electronic health records related to procedures
Stay current with advances in endoscopy technology, clinical best practices, and integrate innovations into unit protocols

Average North Carolina Staff Position Pay
$29.45/hour
