• Schedule: 10:00 am-7:00 pm, 3 8-hour shifts, On-Call Rotation 4 shifts/month
• Status: Part Time
• Department: Operating Room
• Location: Coastal Carolina Medical Center - 1000 Medical Center Dr, Hardeeville, South Carolina 29927
• Unit Info: 4 OR rooms, 1:1 ratio, range of procedures.

What We're Looking For:

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year/Associate Degree, required, 4 Year / Bachelor Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
• Experience: Two years relevant experience, required.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 6 months of hire or transfer into the department.

 

What You'll Do:

• Perform circulating nurse duties: preparing the OR, ensuring equipment is sterilized/functional, and managing the environment.
• Perform scrub nurse duties: handing instruments to surgeons, maintaining a sterile field, and accounting for all sponges/needles.
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond to adverse reactions immediately.
• Assist surgeons with procedures.
