- Schedule: Full-time, Day Shift, 7a-7p
- Department: Ortho Speciality Unit, Joynt Camp
- Location: Rowan Medical Center-- Salisbury, NC
- Patient Populations: Post-op orthopedic & bariatric weight loss, urology surgical patients as well as other general surgery patients, sometimes receive medical overflow
- 1:6 Nurse patient ratio, 17 beds
The Registered Nurse serves as a leader of the healthcare team at Novant Health by establishing an authentic personalized relationship with the patient and their chosen support system, collaborating with physicians and other team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized plan of care that promotes optimal health or supports a peaceful death. What We're Looking For:- Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
- Experience: One year relevant experience, preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.
- ENPC, TNCC or CEN; preferred.
- NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire, required.
- Provides comprehensive nursing care for post-operative orthopedic, bariatric weight loss, and urology surgical patients, ensuring safe recovery and optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitors and manages complex surgical patients, including pain control, mobility progression, wound care, and prevention of post-operative complications.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams while effectively managing medical-surgical overflow patients, prioritizing care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
