Assistant Nurse Manager - Intermediate Cardiac

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for the Intermediate Cardiac Unit provides clinical and administrative leadership at the unit level, supporting a high-performing team through mentorship, scheduling, performance management, and daily operational oversight. You may also be involved in staffing decisions based on unit needs.

 

This 24-bed unit maintains a 4:1 patient ratio and cares for pre- and post-cardiac procedural patients, including pacemakers, ablations, stent placement, Mitral clip, Watchman, TAVR, and patients on continuous BiPAP or Opti-flow support. The ANM fosters excellence in patient care, supports team engagement, and leads shared governance initiatives.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• BLS, ALS, and NIHSS

• Sheath-pull experience preferred

• Proven leadership skills with a focus on team engagement

What We're Looking For:

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. BSN preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of two years of clinical RN experience, preferred. Prior demonstrated nursing leadership, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required. NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.Unit/Dept Specific Required Certifications, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Successful completion of generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Ability to successfully complete Leader Education & Training.
