Registered Nurse preop/PACU Ambulatory Surgery Center

What We Offer:

• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, five 8 hour shifts with occasional late coverage day. Rotating start times between a window of 6:00AM-7:00 AM. M-F, no call, no holidays, no weekends!
• Department: Pre-op/Post-op and cross trained to PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit).
• Requirements: Candidates must have either prior preop/PACU experience, candidates with ASC experience strongly preferred.
• Location: Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), 1730 Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, North Carolina
• Unit Info:  Service lines consist of mainly opthalmology, ortho, pain management & podiatry cases.  See phase 1 and phase 2 patients.

What We're Looking For:

• 2 Year / Associate Degree, required.  Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.  4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
• One year of ASC, PACU or operating room experience, preferred.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.  ACLS and PALS, preferred.
• Must have a thorough understanding of role of RN and the ability to carry out the functions as stated in the appropriate relevant state nurse practice act. Ability to set priorities and organize workload of unit. Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient’s age. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Proficient in telephone screening and interviewing skills. Required.

The Registered Nurse utilizes best scientific evidence and compassion to assist the patient in navigating their health journey.
