Where You Will Work:
LCH 3K Behavioral/Medical Observation is a 22-bed observation unit. Our patients are here for a variety of behavioral health reasons requiring hospitalization. Majority of these diagnosis include IV hydration, rule out sepsis, ortho observation, and surgical observation.
Our staff is very passionate about caring for children and teens with behavioral health needs. We have a diverse group of nurses with backgrounds in Adult and Pediatric Nursing, Behavioral Health, and Med/Surg nursing, to name a few. We are all CPI trained and certified. We have championed the Disruptive Patient Star Program at LCH to address the safety issues related to this population. In addition to the nursing staff on 3K, we have psychiatric technicians to help care for our behavioral health population.
