Department Overview The Hematology, Oncology & Bone Marrow Transplant unit operates 24/7 and provides exceptional care to patients with life-threatening diseases and disorders such as cancer, immune disorders, and blood disorders. Our patients range from birth to 20 years old and the unit has 21 beds. This position also comes with great benefits! Some highlights include: * Comprehensive health care plans. Must start by July 1, 2024 to qualify. $49.16-$78.18 per hour, based on RN Degree and level of experience. Required Qualifications * Associate or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing from a program accredited by Commission of Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA) * BSN preferred * Associate Degree Nurses required to enroll in BSN program within 3 years of hire and complete within 5 years of hire. * Communication skills including fluency in oral and written English * Basic computer skills including the ability to send/receive email, navigate information technology associated with the position, and use Electronic Health Record information and tools * Current unencumbered Oregon RN license * Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or the Military Training Network * Current PALS certification * Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation Preferred Qualifications * One year Hematology/Oncology/BMT Experience or completion of a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT Internship program * APHON/ONS Chemotherapy Certification Additional Details Usual Orientation Time: * New Grads - NA * Specialty Experience - up to 6 months * Experience, but not in specialty area - up to 6 months * Resource - previous experience in hem/onc/bmt with chemotherapy certification * Bonus Disclaimer: current RN employees at OHSU, Adventist Medical Center in Portland or Hillsboro Medical Center are not eligible for the hiring bonus.
