Job Details Job Ref:R0064397 Category:Midwife Employment Type:Full Time Location:75 Beekman St, Plattsburgh, NY 12901 Department:CVPH - MG Neurology, Neuro Surg, OBGYN, Pain Mgmt Job Type:Regular Primary Shift:Day Hours:Variable - Variable Estimated Hours per Week: 40 Bi-Weekly Hours: 80 Weekend Needs:As Scheduled Pay Rate: $57.70 - $85.40 per hour Shift Hours: 7:30 am-4:00 pm, 8:00 am-4:30 pm, & 8:30 am - 5:00 pm GENERAL SUMMARY: In Accordance with CVPH's mission, vision and values, the Certified Nurse Midwife works under the general supervision of the Practice Supervisor(s) and Medical supervision of the physician(s) to provide primary well women healthcare including gynecologic care and care during pregnancy and childbirth while complying with HIPAA and hospital confidentiality policies. They are responsible to provide health care services as licensed professionals working within their defined scope of practice and in accordance with established protocol and procedures. This position requires regular use of independent judgment. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Skills Required: 1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. 2. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York State required. 3. Current license as a Midwife in New York State required. 4. Certification by the American College of Nurse-Midwives (ACNM) or the ACNM Certification Council required by start date. 5. CPR certification, and current certification in Neonatal Resuscitation required for hospital privileges by start date. 6. Current or eligible for New York State DEA certification by start date. 7. Previous experience as Certified Nurse Midwife in obstetrical care required. As applicable, the individual has training/competency in attending to the special needs and/or behaviors appropriate to the age of patients for which care is being provided.
