The University of Miami Nursing Education Department has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Educator. The Nurse Educator is a Registered Nurse responsible for multi-site or specialty-specific professional development of the staff. Fulfills multi-site/specialty unit(s) functions according to the Nursing Professional Development roles of learning facilitator, change agent, mentor, leader, champion for scientific inquiry, advocate for NPD specialty, and partner for practice transitions. The Nurse Educator 2 carries out these responsibilities in alignment with the current Nursing Professional Development Scope & Standards of Practice and utilizing the nursing process as applied to the specialty (assessment, learning needs and outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing from an accredited university required. Master's degree in Nursing, or enrolled in MSN program within 2 years of hire. Certification and Licensing: Current, unencumbered Florida Registered Nurse license. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers Certification, required. National Specialty certification /Board Certification Nursing Professional Development required within 2 years of hire. Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical specialty.
