SUMMARY The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nurse (WOCN) operates within Grady Health System Mission, Vision and Core Values. Serves as a care consultant and provider for patients with various wound care needs and ostomy management. Collaborates with the health care team to define and communicate the expected patterns of care for this patient population. Provides leadership for education to support the advancement of wound and ostomy care and improvement of patient outcome. Serves as a resource, leader, and role model for wound and ostomy management, and functions as a liaison with the community, other health care professionals, and other disciplines regarding areas of wound and ostomy management. QUALIFICATIONS * Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required. * Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. * Current Georgia License as a Registered Professional Nurse is required. * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. * Certification Required (CWOCN, CWCN, COCN, CCCN, or CWON Equal Opportunity Employer-Minorities/Females/Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities/Sexual Orientation/Gender Identity.
