Full Time 4502 Medical Dr. Nursing Day Shift POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES Serves as a maternal clinical expert, educator and researcher to rural/community hospital nursing and medical staff. Functions in a team environment with UH in-patient educators, nursing experts, and physicians to provide support to rural hospital staff. Acts as a Liaison for UH-quaternary perinatal/neonatal center with rural hospital staff supporting and maintaining regionalization requirements. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE MSN is required or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and enrollment in a MSN program. A national certification is required. Minimum of five years of full-time nursing experience in the area of L & D/high risk perinatal care with perinatal educational training required. English/Spanish fluency is required. LICENSURE State of Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse is required. Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support and Health Care Provider card is required
