Responsibilities Responsibilities: * Deliver care to 4-6 patients per shift * Administer medications, change dressings, monitor vital signs, and chart with timely documentation * Collaborate with a variety of other healthcare professionals such as social work, care coordination, physical therapy, occupational therapy, lab, respiratory therapy, and imaging * Practices as a full partner on the multidisciplinary team. * Assist surgeon and surgical team in the OR * Independently plans care for patients before, during, and after procedures * Develop and implement nursing care plan for cardiovascular patients * You'll be a trusted educator and resource for your patients' recovery thanks to the care plans you develop and implement Qualifications Qualifications: * Associates Degree in Nursing or Diploma from an accredited nursing program * Minimum two year of RN experience * Current Registered Nurse (RN) license applicable to the State of Texas * Basic Life Support (BLS) * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or obtained within 90 days of hire date * PRN Requirements * PRN employees must maintain minimum standard availability, in which to perform work as follows: * Four (4) shifts per month * Two (2) of the Four (4) shifts occurring on a Weekend * One (1) Winter Holiday * One (1) Summer Holiday Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
