Registered Nurse

TGH Crystal River is a 128-bed Joint Commission-accredited acute care hospital which opened in 1978. TGH Crystal River care services include a dedicated orthopedic bone and joint center, cardiac catheterization lab and freestanding emergency department in Citrus Hills. Surgical services include robotic-arm assisted, minimally invasive options for general and bariatric surgeries. TGH Crystal River is designated as an Accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI (Percutaneous Coronary Intervention), and Accredited Heart Failure Center and is a Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center. About the Job: The professional nurse interacts and collaborates with staff, physicians, and patients regarding our programs for the reduction of Hospital Acquired Conditions (HACs) and Hospital Acquired Infections (HAIs). Under general supervision and according to established nursing standards, policies, procedures and professional guidelines, delivers nursing care to patients. Collaborates and participates with the manager in unit operations. Exercises independent judgment and advanced clinical skills required to autonomously insert ultrasound guided peripheral IV catheters as needed. Has the current knowledge to survey vascular access devices. Plans and implements nursing care; documents nursing assessments, identifies and reports situations requiring intervention, formulates and communicates goals and directed plan of care; assures patients' rights. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of Tampa General Hospital. Education: Associate Degree in Nursing /Nursing Diploma, required Preferred Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language. Ability to perform effectively in fast paced, stressful environment. Experience: (12) months experience preferred but not required, basic computer skills, excellent human relations and oral/written skills. Licenses/Certificates: FL RN license. Associates Degree in Nursing, Bachelors preferred. BLS, PALS & ACLS certifications through ARC or AHA. NIHSS required IV Certification required
