Nurse Supervisor

* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing * One (1) to two (2) years of nursing leadership experience. * New York State Licensed Registered Professional Nurse * Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) * Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) * Assures that patient care assignments reflect appropriate utilization, staff competencies, job responsibilities and patients' need. * Identifies and responds promptly and appropriately to legal/risk management patient care issues. * Conducts regularly scheduled rounds to support the staff and resolve problems. * Maintain adherence to patient care standards, policies, procedures and all accrediting and regulatory agency standards. * Utilizes leadership skills to create a supportive work environment that promotes professional growth and positive behavior of the staff.. * Ensures excellence in clinical nursing practice and delivery of patient care by monitoring the implementation of Plan of Care and assuring that the Plan is current, appropriate and timely. * Facilitates interdisciplinary communication / collaboration with all members of the health care team to promote coordination of services. * Serves as a clinical resources\ to the nursing staff. n/a
