Registered Nurse (Secure)

Job Opportunity: Secure Registered Nurse at Cascadia Health Schedule: 3 rotating twelve-hour overnight shifts, including rotating weekends. Job Description: As a Secure Registered Nurse, you'll play a vital role in coordinating treatment and implementing medical interventions for our residents. You'll work under general direction, assuming responsibility for treatment decisions while adhering to RN licensure provisions. With a focus on Trauma Informed Care, you'll understand the effects of trauma on health and be dedicated to providing compassionate support. Essential Responsibilities: * Provide quality nursing care and document interventions effectively. * Formulate Nursing Care Plans tailored to each resident's medical and physical conditions. * Administer PRN medications based on thorough assessment. * Actively participate in Treatment Team meetings and collaborate with medical staff. * Promote community reintegration through comprehensive rehabilitation programs. * Administer psychotropic medications and interpret resident responses. * Respect and uphold resident rights and professional boundaries. * Demonstrate leadership in crisis situations and adhere to safety protocols. * Maintain accurate electronic health records and ancillary documentation. * Attend scheduled meetings, training sessions, and educational opportunities. Qualifications: * Active, unencumbered Oregon Registered Nurse License and CPR/First Aid Certification. * Minimum of two years clinical experience preferred. * Knowledge of common medical conditions among individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. * Proficiency in Motivational Interviewing and trauma-informed care. * Ability to operate computer hardware and software, including Electronic Health Record Software. * Flexibility to commute to various Cascadia sites and community locations as needed. Working Conditions: * Work in a secured residential setting with potential interruptions during meal periods and breaks. * Varied routines requiring flexibility and adaptability. * Physical demands may include sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, using computers, and participating in community activities. * Ability to assist in ensuring safety in potentially volatile situations.
