Seattle's Human Services Department (HSD) connects people with resources and solutions during times of need so we can all live, learn, work, and take part in strong, healthy communities.   HSD's Aging and Disability Services Divisions, which operates as the Area Agency on Aging for King County, with responsibility for planning and coordinating a comprehensive service delivery system for older adults, people with disabilities, and family caregivers throughout the county.    HSD is seeking an effective Manager 1 to oversee the Care Coordination Programs Nursing Services team. Care Coordination Nurses focus on high-risk older people and adults with disabilities who have medically unstable health conditions. Services provided include appropriate referrals and coordination with health care professionals. The frequency and amount of service is based on individual need that is defined by eligibility and client assessment.  This position reports to the Care Coordination Program Director.  This opportunity is open until filled with the first pull of resumes on May 28. This position will supervise eight Registered Nurse (RN) Consultants who carry small caseloads comprised of cases where the client is medically unstable, clinically complex, requires skin observation protocol, or requires other nursing expertise. The Nursing Services Manager will provide direct clinical supervision for the RN Consultants, including overseeing comprehensive nursing assessments; conducting file reviews to ensure documentation of medications, client compliance, treatment plans, and other assessments performed; facilitating communication between the nursing services team and case management teams; and supporting training for clinical and non-clinical staff. The Nursing Services Manager will also work with senior planners to develop, implement, and manage work plans, case transfer procedures, and standard operating procedures for the nursing services program. This position will also represent the City at statewide nursing services forums and workgroups, providing recommendations and advocacy for nursing services policy and procedures for aging and disabled clients.  Minimum Qualifications: * Active state license as a registered nurse *  Bachelor of Science in Nursing * Five (5) years of experience providing patient care nursing in a hospital, clinic, or long-term care setting   OR: An equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the position duties Desired Qualifications: * Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a long-term care setting. * Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS) and HeartSaver Certified instructor, or the ability to obtain within the first year of employment.  Additional Information: This position is required to be in the office two days a week and in the field as needed. The hiring manager will be working with the following pay range:  $48.29 - $72.23 an hour.
