Nursing Education Specialist

RWJBH is seeking a Clinical Nurse Educator for our Medical Surgical Areas at the New Brunswick campus. This is a full-time position with flexible scheduling; Monday through Friday with some weekend commitment requirement 40 hours per week. Requirements and Qualifications: * Sound Medical Surgical experience of at least 5 years * Strong communication and organizational skills * Active NJ Registered Professional Nurse * BSN and ACLS required * MSN preferred or must be enrolled in MSN program * National certification for clinical specialty required * Proficient computer skills Responsibilities: * Plan and design orientation, continuing education, and in-service programs in accordance with the requirements of NJ Board of Nursing current regulatory guidelines and the Code of Ethics and institutional guidelines. * Implement and evaluate educational activities/programs * Develop and maintain employee records * Serve as a resource person for education and promoted education in the Nursing Division, * Responsible for maintaining competencies as required by regulatory agencies * Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create and deliver education to ensure quality and best practice RWJBarnabas Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer
