Internal Traveler - Office RN

Full-Time 601 Children's Lane Outpatient Nursing Days 55.0000 Through 55.0000 * GENERAL SUMMARY The CHKD Office RN - Internal Traveler Program (Office RN-ITP) provides short-term 13-week assignments for eligible candidates to fill staffing needs. Office RNs will be eligible for up to 3 renewable 13-week assignments into pediatric practices across the CHKDHS. The Office RN - Internal Traveler performs a wide variety of patient care activities and accommodative services to support the medical practice. Reports to Practice Manager/Supervisor and works in close cooperation with and under the clinical guidance of the practice physician(s). * * ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Demonstrates excellence in nursing practice characterized by quality patient care and participation in formal and informal patient and staff education. * Provides developmentally appropriate psychosocial and clinical care. * Performs other duties as assigned. * LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS * * Required Licenses and/or Certifications * Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license is required at time of hire. * Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Training required at the time of hire or obtained within 45 days of hire. * MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS * * Required Education and Experience * Must provide record of a completed diploma (or equivalent) or academic transcript for those areas performing complexity testing. * At least 1 years of nursing experience required. * Preferred Education and Experience * Pediatric experience preferred. * Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at a level normally acquired through the completion of an accredited School of Nursing is required. * WORKING CONDITIONS * Normal patient care environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
