Job Description: GLASTONBURY PUBLIC SCHOOLS Glastonbury, Connecticut NOTICE OF VACANCY POSITION: Float Registered Nurse (Non-Union Position) Daily location as assigned by the Head Nurse dependent on building needs. WAGES: $41.20 per hour SCHEDULE: 3.5 hours per day 180 days per year QUALIFICATIONS: * RN licensed by the State of Connecticut, BSN preferred; * CPR/AED certified; * One year work experience within last five years, at a minimum. * Preference given to experience in school nursing, pediatrics or emergency room care. DUTIES: * Assist in the daily nursing management of assigned health office. * Cover assigned school health office in the absence of school nurse. * Administer prescribed medications. * Document the nursing process. * Assist with state mandated screenings. * Assist with the maintenance of mandated physical exam and immunization documentation. * Be flexible regarding schedule to provide substitute nursing coverage when needed.
